Senator WALTERS —by leave-I wish to make a personal explanation. I was in my room just a little while ago. During this debate I heard Senator Jack Evans say that the way the Liberals were to vote on this issue was influenced by big business. I take strong exception to that. I have never been influenced by big business or any other interest group or anyone else on any vote I have ever cast, nor, I am sure, have any of my colleagues. My views may be different from those of Senator Evans, but he should not accuse me of being influenced by big business. I never accuse him of being influenced by any specific group, and I do not appreciate it being suggested that I would be influenced by big business. I would appreciate it if Senator Jack Evans withdrew his remarks and apologised.
