Senator PETER BAUME(5.32) —I ask Senator Robert Ray or someone in the Government to answer the point made specifically by Senator Sir John Carrick that people will be prevented from voting because, being in hospital, they are more likely to be ill on particular days or certain events are likely to occur, someone suggested a person may be under an anaesthetic. Some people will not be able to vote on the day that the mobile polling booth comes. Without the capacity to have a postal vote they are going to be disenfranchised. I want Senator Sir John Carrick's point responded to.
