Senator GARETH EVANS (Attorney-General)(8.34) —I will draw Senator Archer's remarks to the attention of the Minister for Finance (Mr Dawkins) and the Special Minister of State (Mr Beazley), who bears immediate managerial responsibility for this area, in the hope that they will be duly chastened by the force of Senator Archer's indignation. I think probably at this stage we will not be able to produce any further and better figures. Senator Archer will have a splendid opportunity to pursue this matter further when he comes to the next round of Estimates committee hearings. I am sure this is a problem of about the right size for Senator Archer to get his teeth into.
