The DEPUTY SPEAKER (Hon. Peter Slipper)—Yesterday the Main Committee was due to convene at four o’clock and, quite understandably, the decision was made to delay our meeting so everyone could listen to the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition in the House. No-one mentioned that decision to the clerks or to the Serjeant-at-Arms, so we had all the staff here. If a similar decision is made in future, it would be appreciated if that information could be conveyed to the appropriate sources.
