Mr TURNBULL (2:08 PM) —My question is addressed to the Prime Minister. Precisely when and by whom was the government advised that the fiscal stimulus package had to be more than $10 billion?


Mr RUDD (Prime Minister) —Governments, as they have operated in the past, operate through cabinet. Cabinet comprises cabinet committees. Our cabinet committee on this matter comprised myself, the Deputy Prime Minister, the Treasurer and the finance minister, and as advised by appropriate officials from those agencies. And the advice was very good.
