Mr BEAZLEY (Leader of the Opposition) (3:26 PM) —Mr Speaker, I wish to make a personal explanation.

Mr SPEAKER —Does the Leader of the Opposition claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr SPEAKER —Please proceed.

Mr BEAZLEY —I have been misrepresented by the Minister for Employment, Workplace Relations and Small Business, who claimed in answer to a question that I had suggested that the government should underwrite Ansett Airlines. I have never suggested that at any stage. I referred to supporting the administrator. I understand that if he had been underwritten to the tune of some $100 million he could have kept the show on the road and a decent outcome—

Mr SPEAKER —The Leader of the Opposition has indicated where he has been misrepresented and will resume his seat.

Mr SPEAKER —I remind the member for Cowan that exactly the same courtesies as everybody else expects to have extended to them should be extended by him.
