Mr SPEAKER (5:27 PM) —For many years, Mr Errol Silver has been closely associated with the broadcasting of parliamentary proceedings and has recently retired. Errol had a long broadcasting career, including nearly 30 years with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. During that period, he worked as an announcer and managed several ABC branches in Canberra, Hobart, Adelaide and Newcastle. In recent years, he has been the chief parliamentary broadcaster in Canberra with the responsibility of managing the broadcasting of proceedings from both houses. I would like to take the opportunity of wishing Errol well in his retirement and pass on our good wishes to his wife Dorothy and family.
