Mr KELVIN THOMSON (1:58 PM) —This is the usual sad story with the government: amendments moved and then brought on for debate, without any opportunity for the opposition to consider the detail of them, let alone go through our due processes, let alone consult with the broader community. As far as we can ascertain, these amendments are consistent with the original structure of the bill, which we do not oppose, but we will be having a close look at them and scrutinising them between here and another place.
