Mr SPEAKER (9:50 AM) —On 29 March 2001 the member for Cowan asked me a series of questions about a painting by Charles Dixon entitled The Landing at Gallipoli. I have ascertained that the painting was given to the Commonwealth by Austin Taylor in 1917 and became part of the Parliament Gift Collection. The painting was on public display in Old Parliament House until 1988. It is now hanging in the office of the Minister for Aged Care, who has agreed to a request from the President of the Senate and me that the painting be placed on public display in this building for a period of time on either side of Anzac Day.

Mr SPEAKER —I warn the Chief Opposition Whip.
