Mr BILLSON (1:59 PM) —The published remarks of the Frankston City Mayor attacking the Howard government's record on drug response are both reckless and ill informed, and highlight how far removed he has become from the issues in our community. The government's Tough on Drugs programs put half a billion dollars into our communities to help tackle this very difficult social and health issue. In our city alone more than $100,000 is made available to PenDAP, the Peninsula Drug and Alcohol Program, as well as $65,000 to artistic media providing education on drugs.

Mr SPEAKER —Order! It being 2 p.m., in accordance with standing order 106A the time for members statements has concluded.
