Mr ABBOTT (Minister for Employment, Workplace Relations and Small Business) (5:58 PM) —I move:

That amendments Nos 22 to 24 and 26 made by the Senate to House amendments be disagreed to.

I do not want to speak for any length of time here, except to indicate that, under the proposal as it will stand, leases up to 10 years can be approved by the trust; leases up to 25 years can be approved by the minister; beyond 25 years, any leases will be disallowable instruments. This is a pretty fair protection. It is appropriate, as things will stand, if this proposal is supported by the House and ultimately by the parliament, that the trust should be able to give security over the land at Markham Close. I commend these amendments to the House.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
