Mr ZAHRA (3:21 PM) —Mr Speaker, I wish to make a personal explanation.

Mr SPEAKER —Does the honourable member claim to have been misrepresented?

Mr ZAHRA —Horrendously, again.

Mr SPEAKER —Please proceed.

Mr ZAHRA —In question time today, the Minister for Forestry and Conservation again suggested that no member of the opposition apart from the member for Burke had had communication with him or made representations on behalf of timber workers. I made almost exactly this point at the last sitting of the parliament and offered to table letters which I had sent to the minister on 1 June and 21 September of last year on behalf of timber workers. I again offer to table those documents and the minister's responses.

Mr SPEAKER —The member for McMillan will resume his seat. The chair has exercised a good deal of leniency to the member for McMillan, as he will be aware, because it would be difficult to determine that he had in fact been personally misrepresented in that he is not the only member so affected. I have allowed him to make the point on the Hansard record. He has sought leave to table certain documents.

Leave not granted.
