Mr BARTLETT (1:55 PM) —Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Blue Mountains Regional Awards for Excellence in Tourism. The varied array of finalists and winners was representative of the high quality of the many tourist operators in our region. They are great ambassadors for the Blue Mountains. The value they add to the renowned natural attractions of the mountains sets the area apart as a premium tourism destination. My congratulations go to: Jenolan Caves, Lithgow Small Arms Museum, Mount Tomah Botanic Gardens, One Van Puppet Festival, Tread Lightly Eco Tours, Cox's River Escapes, the New South Wales Parks and Wildlife Service, Peppers Fairmont Resort, Fantastic Aussie Tours, Blue Mountains Explorer, Mountainlink Trolley Tours, Lithgow Visitors Centre, Blue Mountains Web, the Rooster restaurant, the Comet Inn, Woodford of Leura, Black Gold Country Cabins, Katoomba Youth Hostel Association, Melaleuca Mountain Chalets, Sidneys Retreat, Jacobs Retreat, Peartree Cottage, Eagle View Escape, Lilianfels Blue Mountains, Jodie Rayner and Bob Reid. The commitment of these operators to genuine service, to quality food and accommodation and to first-class adventure and cultural experiences enhances the pleasure of a Blue Mountains holiday. For those who have not been recently, come to the beautiful Blue Mountains. Whether you are after a weekend retreat, a relaxing longer holiday or first-class convention facilities all within easy access to Sydney, the Blue Mountains is exactly what you are looking for.
