To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled. The humble petition of the undersigned citizens of Richmond electorate respectfully showeth that:

The Hawke Labor Government's Industrial Relations Bill will increase industrial disputation, bankrupt companies, and give the union movement total and absolute power over the Australian community.

Your petitioners humbly pray that the House of Representatives, in Parliament assembled, urge the Government to reject Labor's Industrial Relations Bill to save Australia from the actions of militant unions and give our economy a chance of recovering.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
