To the Honourable Speaker and Members of the House of Representatives in Parliament assembled.

The Petition of the people of the Upper Hunter. Respectfully showeth their concern regarding the proposal by Telecom to meter local calls.

Your petitioners therefore humbly pray that your Honourable House be aware of the immeasurable psychological damage this proposal will cause as it will inhibit the user because of the cost incurred, and we call on Telecom to abandon this proposal.

And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.
