Mr HOWARD —I remind the Prime Minister of a speech he made on 21 July 1985, at the opening of the Nunawading by-election, in which, when speaking on the sale of public assets, he said that it was:

. . . a one-off fire sale; a sale of the century of your assets, the assets of the people of Australia. They would transfer them into the hands of a privileged few to the cost of every one of us.

Does the Prime Minister still hold to that view?
