Mr HODGMAN(4.55) —As shadow Minister for Housing and Construction, I welcome the motion. It is particularly appropriate, Mr Deputy Speaker, that you as member for Curtin, in Western Australia, are in the chair as this motion goes through. I have a particular involvement in the matter extending over many years of service in the Royal Australian Naval Reserve. Therefore, the motion is a matter of considerable interest. It is a good project and I wish it success. A sum of $10.3m is a substantial contribution. The Opposition looks forward to hearing the details of the evidence placed before the Public Works Committee and also to receiving its report, at which time the matter will be more fully debated in this House.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
