(Question No. 1664)

Mr Lloyd asked the Minister representing the Minister for Social Security, upon notice, on 24 August 1984:

(1) What amount has been paid out in supporting parents benefits since the introduction of the Family Law Act in 1975.

(2) What amount of this total or of other pension or benefit payments can be attributed to divorced people.

Dr Blewett —The Minister for Social Security has provided the following answer to the honourable member's question.

Also included are figures for Class A and B widows' pension. Female divorcees with children receive Class A widow's pension and those without children Class B widow's pension.
