Mr FIFE(5.07) —The Opposition welcomes this reference. I join with the honourable member for Herbert (Mr Lindsay) in saying how very pleased I am that the Government is proceeding with this project, which I had the privilege of announcing when I was Minister for Aviation. It is true that the project has had a fairly long gestation period. However, I think that the honourable member might have been just a little harsh on the previous Government when he said that nothing had been done. But I understand his excitement at the fact that the project is at last proceeding, and I am delighted that some of the planning action took place when I was Minister for Aviation. We welcome the Minister's reference today. As Vice-Chairman of the Public Works Committee, I can indicate that the Committee will deal with this matter expeditiously.

Question resolved in the affirmative.
