Summary

Amends the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 and Radiocommunications Act 1992 to provide a framework for the conversion of commercial television broadcasting services in regional and remote areas of Western Australia from analogue to digital; and to allow commercial television broadcasting licensees in remote licence areas to multi-channel their digital services, where they elect jointly, or one elects individually, to provide a third digital-only commercial service; and exempt such licensees from any mandatory high definition television quotas that might be applied in remote licence areas.
