Summary

Introduced with the Medical Indemnity Amendment Bill 2003 and further to the package of bills implementing the framework for medical indemnity insurance, the bill amends the Medical Indemnity (IBNR Indemnity) Contribution Act 2002 to give effect to a moratorium on incurred but not reported liabilities (IBNR) contributions; and reduce the IBNR contribution to be paid for the 2003-04 and 2004-05 financial years.
