Introduced with the Egg Industry Service Provision (Transitional and Consequential Provisions) Bill 2002, the bill establishes Australian Egg Corporation Limited (AECL) which will be limited by guarantee under the Corporations Act 2001 and will be responsible for providing industry services to the egg industry, including generic promotion and research and development functions.
