The PRESIDENT -Is leave granted? There being no objection, leave is granted.

Senator JAMESMcCLELLAND (New South Wales)- Honourable senators will recall that on 17 September 1974 this Committee was empowered to table any or all of the evidence or documents presented to the Committee on this reference. The Hansard record of evidence given before the Committee has been tabled herewith. These and submissions from other persons and organisations who did not give evidence are available for inspection by honourable senators on request to the secretary of the Committee. I might mention that there are some logistical difficulties about copying all of these submissions but if any honourable senator wants to have access to the submissions, other than those embodied in the Hansard record, in order to inform his or her mind prior to taking part in the debate on this Bill, the Secretary of the Committee will be happy to co-operate.
