Senator McMANUS (VICTORIA) - I direct my question to you, Mr President. It refers to a circular which I forwarded to you yesterday from an organisation which claimed that it was arranging for demonstrations at this House during the course of the South East Asia Treaty Organisation conference to be held here later in the year. The circular also claimed that if sufficient numbers were present it was proposed to prevent delegates from overseas countries entering the House. I now ask: In view of suggestions that the present powers over the precincts of Parliament are not as adequate as they should be, can you give any information about any proposals to improve the control of this Parliament over its precincts, particularly in view of an incident that happened in the Victorian Parliament within recent weeks?

The PRESIDENT - I would be grateful if the honourable senator would allow me to answer that question at the end of question time.
