Senator Sir KENNETH ANDERSON (New South Wales) (Minister for Health) - by leave - I would like to comment on and not oppose what was suggested. I simply would like to say in fairness to Senator Cavanagh and Senator Murphy that I have not rejected necessarily what they are proposing as an alternative. I felt that we do not have the appropriate time to give to this matter. Therefore I suggest that the question be put on Senator Cavanagh's notice of motion, which is to refer petitions to the Standing Committee on Social Environment. I would not oppose this course of action.
