Senator PALTRIDGE - On request, some time ago, the Government gave consideration to the matter of the waifs in Japan who are alleged - and I emphasise the word " alleged " - to be the children of Australian servicemen. The decision taken then was that the case was not one which could appropriately be supported by the Australian Government. The decision was made after full consideration of the facts and t do not see that there is any case for resubmission to the Government.
