Senator E B JOHNSTON (Western Australia) .- The Leader of the Opposition (Senator McLeay) gave notice this morning of his intention to submit an important motion with regard to the wheat industry, and I ask the Leader of the Senate (Senator Collings) to give an assurance that that motion will be dealt with during the present sittings. I do not desire to delay government business or to take the business out of the hands of the Government, but, unless the assurance asked for is given, I shall oppose the motion. I suggest that the Leader of the Senate should follow the course indicated by me, because notice of the motion to be submitted by the Leader of the Opposition was given before the present motion was moved.
