Senator CAMERON - I am endeavouring to ascertain who will have the right to select the representative of the trade union movement. I suspect that the Government will make the selection. In that case the person selected would not in my view be truly representative of the movement. In similar cases in the past the movement has been permitted to select its representative, and such procedure in the case of the Australian Broadcasting Commission would be satisfactory to me. I do not agree with the contention that the members of the commission should be ashamed of their political views. They should be proud of them.
