Senator A J McLACHLAN (SOUTH AUSTRALIA) (Postmaster-General) . - The paragraph does not vary the existing law. The door will not be thrown open to bogus organizations to obtain exemption. From time to time attempts have been made to escape taxation under this provision, but they have not been successful. The Commonwealth taxation authorities have no knowledge of any fraud having been perpetrated under it.
