Senator CRAWFORD (QueenslandHonorary Minister) . - A bill will be introduced this session to provide for the construction of a 4-ft. 8½-in. gauge line from Port Augusta to Red Hill. In reply to the point raised by Senator Thompson, I may say that it is expected that the construction of the railway between Kyogle and South Brisbane will be completed within the next eighteen months.

Senator Thompson - What is being done in connexion with the bridge over the river Clarence?

Senator CRAWFORD - I cannot state definitely; but I understand that the work will be commenced very shortly.
