Senator DRAKE-BROCKMAN (Western Australia) - I cannot agree with Senator Lynch's suggestion to add to the already considerably increased duty on cigarettes, but I may be a little prejudiced, seeing that I am probably the largest consumer of them in this Senate. The honorable senator, in his anxiety to produce the desired effect on senators, has drawn a most distressing picture of the youth of Australia going to the dogs through indulgence in the pernicious habit of cigarette smoking. I do not know whether he has been in France.
