The PRESIDENT - It is the honorable senator's own motion.


Senator Chataway - I thought that it was now in charge of the Senate.


The PRESIDENT - But an honorable senator always has the right to fix the date upon which he desires his motion to be considered. The Senate can either accept or reject his proposal.
