Mr IRWIN (MITCHELL, NEW SOUTH WALES) - My question is directed to the Minister for the Navy, ls he aware of the many sailing ships of great magnificence that have visited Australia as training ships of several nations? Does he or do his advisers consider that the sailing ships are still a good medium for initial training in a navy? I ask: Is it possible to have another ship built to the specification of Cook's Endeavour'? Could it be completed in time for the tri-centenary?
