Mr DAVIES (BRADDON, TASMANIA) - 1 ask the Minister for Primary Industry a question about war service land settlement. Is he aware that the Tasmanian Parliament has appointed a committee to inquire into all aspects of war service land settlement in Tasmania? Why did the Department of Primary Industry advise its officer in Western Australia to refuse to discuss with the chairman of the Tasmanian committee any matter relating to war service land settlement in Western Australia, despite the fact that the Tasmanian Parliament had arranged an interview between the committee's chairman and the Commonwealth's officer in Perth on the occasion of the chairman's visit to Western Australia earlier this year? Will the Minister facilitate the work of the Tasmanian parliamentary committee in delving into all aspects of war service land settlement in Tasmania by ensuring that Commonwealth officers dealing with this matter are available to appear as witnesses before the committee?
