Mr J R Fraser - I ask the AttorneyGeneral: Will he have an examination made of a situation existing in Canberra, in which a person who passes a valueless cheque in payment for goods commits a crime and can be dealt with under the Police Offences Ordinance, whereas an employer who uses a valueless cheque to pay wages to his employee can be dealt with only by action in a civil court? Will he take urgent action to have this situation remedied?
