Mr NELSON (NORTHERN TERRITORY, NORTHERN TERRITORY) - My question, which is directed to the Minister for Territories, relates to the disallowance by the Government recently of two bills that were passed by the Northern Territory Legislative Council. I am informed that these two bills will be re-introduced in the Legislative Council to-morrow by elected members, who are confident of obtaining the support of the three nominated non-official members, whose support is necessary to pass the legislation again. As the Legislative Council apparently intends to take the opportunity to test the Government's attitude towards legislation passed by that body, and in view of the consequences that could flow from a further refusal by the Government to assent, will the Minister say what will be hrs attitude to the bills when they come before him again for consideration?
