Mr DOWNER (ANGAS, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - Can the Minister acting for the Minister for Trade inform the House whether Australia has been consulted by the United Kingdom Government concerning the projected trade negotiations between Britain and western European countries for a western economic union? Does the Minister feel that the volume of Australia's primary exports can be adequately safeguarded if Britain enters into such an arrangement?
