Mr CLEAVER (SWAN, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Can the Minister for Health indicate whether supplies of Salk vaccine may be released to State governments additional to the quotas originally approved? In Western Australia, the State Minister for Health has agreed to increase the immunization programme to cover certain river districts before the summer vacation, provided extra doses of the vaccine can be supplied. As a specific request has been submitted, will the Minister undertake to give sympathetic and practical consideration to this move to protect some 7,000 to 8,000 children, prior to a recognized danger period?
