Mr DEDMAN (CORIO, VICTORIA) (Minister for Post-war Reconstruction) - It has become obvious during the debate on the Coal Industry Bill that many of the. statements contained in the honorable member's question are, indeed, true. There is a very grave shortage of coal, due to the great expansion of industry among other things, and because of the shortage of -shipping. The steps which are being taken by the Government to overcome the shortage will be debated later in the day.
