Mr CLARK (DARLING, NEW SOUTH WALES) - I ask the Minister for the Navy whether the Government proposes to take over any of the merchant ships that are now being built in Australia? If not, will consideration be given to the acquisition of these vessels by the Government in order to establish an Australian shipping line, which could be used not only during the war but also afterwards, for the transport of Australia's exports?
