Mr MORGAN (REID, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Will the Minister for the Army indicate whether he will permit the establishment of units, as auxiliaries of the Volunteer Defence Corps, in war industries that may be enemy objectives? The formation of such units will enable the workers to prepare against attack, with a result that their morale will be improved. I also ask the Minister whether he has noticed a report of an opinion expressed by Sir Harry Chauvel that at least one-third of the troops defending Australia should be cavalry? If so, will he indicate whether the Army will encourage the formation of Light Horse units?
