Mr MORGAN - Has the Minister for Munitions read the press reports that American production plans now aim at .the maximum output of war material in the next six months, and that, instead -of using available material for the equipment of new factories for a maximum production next year, the whole of the nation's resources will be concentrated on existing plants, with a view to striking at the axis this year? Will the Minister state whether it would be advisable to f ollow such a policy in Australia, and to take up with the Minister for War Organization of Industry the subject of closing down non-essential industries? Would it not be wise to convert many of those industries to war production, instead of closing them down?
