Mr JAMES (HUNTER, NEW SOUTH WALES) - Will the Prime Minister say whether it is a fact that employees at the Glen Davis shale oil works were recently granted an increase of 3s. 6d. by a Judge of the Commonwealth Arbitration Court, whilst another section of workers, doing similar work, received an increase of only 23. a week from a judge of the State Arbitration Court ? Does not the Prime Minister think that the time has arrived when there should be uniformity of working conditions and arbitration laws? The action I have referred to i3 likely to lead to another serious stoppage at the Glen Davis works.
