Mr PERKINS (Eden) (Monaro- Minister for Trade and Customs) . - The Government cannot accept this amendment. Last week the AttorneyGeneral (Mr. Menzies) questioned the validity of such a provision as this and gave an assurance to the Deputy Leader of the Opposition (Mr. Forde) that he would look into this whole subject to see whether a provision of general application could be drafted to meet the purpose of this amendment in respect of all bounty bills.
