Mr MAHONEY (DENISON, TASMANIA) - In view of the fact that the Commonwealth Works Department is unable to draft plans and specifications for public works in Tasmania, will the Minister for Works transfer to the Tasmanian Government the responsibility so that the works may be put into operation immediately.

Mr THORBY - There is no need to do that, because the works are being carried out expeditiously. Plan3 have been prepared.
