Mr WEST (East Sydney) (11:48 AM) . - If a person in the Mandated Territory were sentenced to seven days' imprisonment for addressing a meeting while standing on - a soap-box in the street, would he be sent to Queensland ?

Mr Groom - No.

Mr WEST - What provision is there in the Bill dealing with such a case ?

Mr Groom - There is no provision. The Bill deals only with more serious offences.

Bill read a second time, and, by leave, passed through all its remaining stages without amendment or debate.
