Mr MARKS asked the Minister representing the Minister for Repatriation, upon notice -

1.   Whether it is a fact that hundreds of returned members of the Australian Imperial Force have entered into contracts for the purchase of war service homes, relying on the announcement in the repatriation magazine and in the press that the amount allowed for the same had been raised from £700 to £800, and that, in many cases, the vendors are pressing for completion? .

2.   If the amount has been so increased, when may a definite announcement be expected respecting same?
