Mr PAGE (MARANOA, QUEENSLAND) - Do I understand that the reciprocal treaty with New Zealand has been completed, and that South Australian spirit is to be given an advantage over other Australian spirit?

Mr DEAKIN - This Government entered into an agreement with the late Prime Minister of New Zealand which cannot "be re-opened without the consent of the Government of that Colon \ ;. but no distinction is, ot could be, made between the treatment given to South Australia and that given to other Australian spirit. Every arrangement made by the Government extends to the whole Commonwealth.
