Senator BISHOP -I want to add that Senator Cavanagh had questioned the source of the telegrams. As honourable senators know, the matter was referred to in the debate on the motion for the adjournment of the Senate. My investigations show that without exception the telegrams originated from telephone numbers leased by the Queensland Department of Aboriginal and Island Affairs. The document simply lists the name of the sender as shown on the telegram, the time and date of lodgment, the method of lodgment, the lessee of the telephone service, if sent by phonogram, and the addressees.
