Senator Primmer asked the Minister representing the Treasurer, upon notice:

(1)   Who are the Directors of the Wellbuilt Furnishing Company.

(2)   Who are the Directors of Dacon Furniture Manufacturers.

(3)   What taxation has been paid by these companies in each of the last five years.

(4)   Who are the creditors of the Wellbuilt Furnishing Company and what amount of money is owed to them.

Senator Wriedt - The Treasurer has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

(1)   and (2) If a business enterprise is incorporated as a company, the names of directors are available from the office of the Registrar of Companies in the State or Territory in which the company is incorporated.

(3)   and (4) The secrecy provisions of the income tax law prohibit the Commissioner of Taxation from disclosing any information concerning the affairs of individual taxpayers.
